“The place where the times meet” - we named the project. 130sqm of ergonomic space with uncommon design inside the 1900th building in the center of Moscow. It’s like the meeting of the future with history. We have managed to unite the atmosphere of a luxury villa “Depre club house” that is recognized as the best restoration in the world, and the modern classic. The clients are a young married couple, the parents of one. They have been building their business for several years and working towards their dream - an apartment in one of the capital's best areas, and have entrusted us with the turnkey full-range work, from the planning to the decorating.

The ceilings in this house are 5 meters high. To keep the rooms from turning into "wells", we added wooden panels on the ceilings. By doing so, we managed to preserve the "airiness" and space volume and create a sense of security. The small windows were visually enlarged with wooden casings and decorated with atmospheric wooden shutters.
Every interior door is of height from the floor to ceilings like the wall longing and reminds the portal to travel between eras.

On the one hand, the interior is very modern and minimalistic, designed in a solid masculine color scheme dominated by green, dark blue, brown, beige, and cobalt, and many functional semi-open storage systems. On the other hand, due to the presence of elements of royal luxury, there is a feeling of being in a palace of the early 20th. For example, in the dining area of the living room, there is a combination of classic parquet and a large marble table, which we have matched with elegant silver French cutlery. And to reduce the level of classic luxury, we added a little kitsch: a vase with gold thorns, napkin rings in the form of a one-eyed unicorn, and salad plates with painted gold scales.

The project has no compromise decisions. Every detail is meaningful. Many elements were customized. Every wardrobe, door, ceiling panel, and bright carpet in the living room are hand-made. Contemporary artist Olga Hagina's achromatic colored pictures add some dynamics and composition to the interior.
